ABOUT ME

I have always been drawn to the art of photography. Architecture has been a subject that I have embraced in my work; it is the lines and the uniqueness of each structure or part of a structure.

My most current series of barns in Grand Isle County also known as the Champlain Islands,Vermont I have not found two that are exactly the same! Some are in great repair and are in use while others are in such disrepair they cannot be used and there are some in the middle. Each one tells a story of a farm, past and present.

In my photography I try to capture the links between the subject matter and my personal experiences. Shooting in rural or suburban areas I try to see, through my camera, what makes that place unique. I like to focus on windows and reflections, which is a consistent theme throughout my work.

I do not do a lot of post processing I take my time mentally composing the image before I look through the camera. I will then take the photo from a couple of angles. I will use Photoshop to crop, sharpen the image or change the saturation.
